We focus on the needs of our customers and act responsibly in terms of data usage, collection and storage.
Data protection is of great importance to us, and we act responsibly in the collection, storage and use of data. Adequate transparency regarding the handling of data is indispensable. Our customers ought to know what data is collected, when and for what purpose. As such, we provide them with extensive information in sales literature, on the vehicle homepage, in apps, in the operating instructions and – whenever reasonably possible – directly in the vehicle as well.
Our customers determine which services they actually use and what they want to share - either by consent, by contract, or by pressing a button. They can change their decision at any time as to whether or not they want to share data with us or third-party providers.
The Mercedes-Benz claim is to offer a fully comprehensive, high level of data security. Privacy by Design - that's why our engineers make sure from the beginning of developing new services and products that they are designed to comply with data protection requirements and can be operated in a user-friendly manner. Therefore, we have introduced measures and processes for secure data handling. In this way, we minimize potential risks while enabling innovative data-based services.

Mercedes-Benz can individualise many experiences, services, products and offers for customers with the help of data – if they allow the use of their data. The Mercedes me Privacy Center bundles these decisions and displays them conveniently in one place. In addition, customers can give or withdraw approval for data processing with just a few clicks.
